AMI is headquartered in Kechi, KS, we specialize in design build general construction, and construction management. We are committed to creating the highest level of trust and integrity with our clients. Our construction management philosophy focuses on developing an interactive, inclusive working relationship among the client, the design firms, and the construction team. In addition, AMI also self performs industrial and commercial heating, air conditioning, and plumbing. We are committed to “Creating the Perfect Environment” for our customers. construction management
We provide construction management services in two phases: pre-construction and construction. Meaningful pre-construction services bring value, potential cost saving, and informed decision-making to the client while eliminating surprises to provide you with a predictable outcome. During the value analysis process we think outside the box to achieve your goals with your budget and project needs in mind. Early involvement of the construction team benefits every aspect of the project. During the pre-construction phase, we provide planning and scheduling, estimating, value engineering and constructability review, purchase long-lead items, develop an monitor the budget, and prequalify subcontractors. During the construction phase, we buy all required material, subcontractor services, build your facility, and ensure your facility is fully operational. The success of this approach relies on the continuity of the team from pre-construction through construction.
Design-build
Trust is the underlying pillar for design-build projects. When trust is developed and fostered between the owner, contractor, and engineer a remarkable synergy is developed which translates to successful projects and satisfied clients. Our expertise with successful design-build project dates back over 30 years and we are pleased to have been a partner on a number of design-build projects, to include a Flight Simulator Building at McConnell AFB, KS, and 3D BIM renovation project for the Catholic Diocese, and a design build renovation on Building 250 Base Clinic on McConnell AFB, KS
self performance
American Mechanical can bring a strong degree of self-performance to directly control projects and optimize budget, schedule, quality, safety and communication. We self-perform all plumbing and HVAC work, and can take care of piping and HVAC insulation as well. We partner with dedicated sub-contractors for electrical, control and balance work that have maintained high standards in their industries. With our own Mechanical Engineer, you can be assured that the project will be complete to all mechanical codes and with a minimum of down time between trades. Our project managers have been in the industry for a minimum of 15 years each ensuring smooth transition between each phase of the project.
In the past five years, our teams have excavated over 3 million cubic yards of material, set over 9.5 million square feet of formwork, placed over 500,000 cubic yards of concrete and installed over 450,000 feet of piping. Our ability to self-perform critical trades delivers greater value to the project because we understand your processes, control cost, and can successfully manage all components of project delivery. You can rest easy when AMI Construction’s boots are on the ground.
